Kensington Finest Properties International, the KENSINGTON Group’s high-end residential real estate marketing division, has arrived in Catalonia. The opening of the new headquarters of the Swiss company, scheduled for next June, follows the recent arrival in Malaga earlier this year. In this way, the real estate group consolidates its franchise system in Spain, after the offices in Mallorca, Ibiza and Madrid.
At the head of the project is Oriol Canal Rosich, who has more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and senior manager in the real estate sector. “With such a strong brand behind me, my goal is to make the new headquarters in Catalonia, and therefore the KENSINGTON brand, the international benchmark for quality in the market and to offer the service that property buyers and sellers deserve throughout the territory,” says Canal, who has been granted the regional residential master license for Catalonia. “For me it was time to take the next step and realise my dream of working on my own with one of the best international real estate brands specialising in high quality properties in prime locations,” he explains. The entrepreneur has also acquired the Catalunya licence for KENSINGTON Commercial Properties, KENSINGTON’s specialist commercial and investment property division.
The opening of the first KENSINGTON office in Barcelona is scheduled for this coming June and it will be located in the heart of Barcelona’s golden mile, on Paseo de Gracia. From here, Canal and his team will manage and promote both the real estate business in Barcelona city and the expansion in the rest of Catalonia. “As a boutique real estate agency, we put quality before quantity. After its imminent arrival in Barcelona, KENSINGTON Catalonia plans to open 10 offices in the next five years, through the granting of local franchise licences. KENSINGTON’s international franchise director, Shujat Sarwar, says he is “very satisfied” with the second regional master license in the Peninsula just a few months before the start of 2022. “This way we are driving the expansion of the brand in Spain to a high degree. Sarwar, who also highlighted the expertise of the brand new master franchisee, Oriol Canal, reaffirmed his commitment to KENSINGTON’s target customer. “We are very excited to be able to offer our international clientele our services in a region like Catalonia and in some of its most exclusive areas such as Barcelona and its surroundings, the Maresme, the Costa Brava, the Garraf and the Pyrenees”, Sarwar pointed out.
